Diabetes need not be a Problem!

Yoga can help in providing relief and aid management if one is already diabetic!

Using techniques like Asanas & Pranayamas, along with Meditations & Visualization, we can help the body heal from within

At AMI, we have been practicing this for 30+ Years. We have helped 25000+ students improve their health, happiness & peace.

The Role of Yoga in helping Diabetes

Yoga helps to keep stress under check. Thus preventing the onset of  Diabetes.

Yoga postures massage the abdomen and stimulate the pancreas, increasing blood and oxygen supply. As a result improving the organ’s ability to produce insulin.

Yoga works both on the physical and mental aspects of the individual while dealing with Diabetes.

Surya Namaskar is a very effective practice. Not only does it energise the body but it also works on various chakras and on the endocrine system to regulate different hormonal secretions .

Kriyas such as Agnisaar help massage the whole abdomen, including the pancreas stimulating the Islets of Langerhans, containing beta cells responsible for insulin secretion.

In case of people who cannot hold asana for a long time, the practice can be modified to be done on a chair.

Pranayam practices such as Bhastrika help massage the pancreas and stimulate insulin secretion.

Meditation on the Manipur chakra is a powerful practice to help diabetes

Awareness, relaxation, activity – are all very important for managing quality of life. More important is to manage not just the disease but the individual holistically.

Special Dietary Guidelines, Auto Suggestions coupled with a disciplined Lifestyle will help one manage diabetes with ease 🙂

Autosuggestions for Healing

The power of the mind cannot be understated. That’s exactly why the 1200 students practicing with us every day start their day with an Auto suggestion of wellness and health. Auto suggestions serve as small timely reminders to oneself to feel well, happy and healthy. And you’ll see that once the mind truly believes in that suggestion, it can become a reality 🙂

Features

Special Chair Yoga Techniques for easy practice

Over the past 4 and 1/2 years in the Diabetes Batch, we have come across different individuals of different abilities. So we’ve tailor made practices for one and all that can help them. Chair Yoga is one such adapted practice. Chair Yoga is an easier way to do Yoga when asanas might not be possible.

Students share their experiences..

“For the last 22 years, I have been suffering from High BP and Diabetes with HBA1C level at 7.8.

In 2016, I joined for Yoga at AMI yoga , Special course for diabetes.

Since then, I have been sincerely following and practising Yoga, Meditation and pranayam as per your guidance.

After one year my levels got better with my HBA1C at 6.4 and BP also stabilized within normal levels

Now as on date my HBA1C is steadily maintained between 6.2 to 6.4 and BP at 70/ 130

The normal impression is that if one is diagnosed with BP and diabetes he is supposed to be on medication life long and suffer the side effects of these medicines also.

Now, with the help of AMI yoga, many people with similar conditions can be hopeful of completely getting rid of these medications and enjoy a healthy life. I am a live example for that.

I am extremely thankful to AMI Yoga and their team for gifting me with great health and happiness with their guidance and motivation.”
